As I photographed Sabrina and Dave at the 3rd Street Dance Studio and outside of LACMA in Los Angeles, it was evident to me that they shared a love that moved the sun and stars–not to mention, their feet. They shared a few swing dancing steps during this lovely engagement session. In the pictures, you can see the unspoken harmony of their love in action, and the sweetness that they award to one another.
The studio was not enough to contain their delicate passion, so we took to the streets, from the suburban to the urban. In the evening, I captured them outside and inside their home, where they will begin their new life together. At night, outside LACMA, where the Urban Lights sculpture stood, illuminating their faces with the tender atmosphere of friendship and affection.
I loved witnessing Sabrina and Dave’s connection. And it’s no wonder: when they speak about their relationship, it’s enough to make your heart melt. Sabrina herself expresses that every time she sees Dave’s smile, her heart melts, and she also says, “He’s always ready to give me a hug when I need one (whether to celebrate something or to give me support).” Dave thinks Sabrina is the best fiancee ever because, “Her heart is so big and she puts it to use. She started a Girl Scout troop serving the local community. She always tries to help anyone who asks for it.” It’s a beautiful feeling being around these two.
